Gene B. Renner

Gene B. Renner, 84, of Mascoutah, IL, born Feb. 7, 1926 in Belleville, IL, died Wednesday, Jan. 19, 2011 at Memorial Hospital in Belleville, IL.


He was retired from Auffenberg Ford in Belleville as a parts serviceman. He was a member of the VFW Post 1739 in Belleville; a WW II US Marine veteran; and member of DAV.


He was preceded in death by his parents, Dan and Florena, nee Peach, Renner; two brothers, Arthur and Marcus Renner; a sister, Edith Thomas; and a granddaughter, Kelly Klotz.


He is survived by a daughter, Margaret “Mollie”, nee Renner, Klotz of Mascoutah, IL; two grandsons, Joshua and Nicholas Klotz; a great-grandson David Lee Smith; cousins and friends.


Memorials may be made to MarKa Nursing Home or Heartland Hospice.


Visitation: There will be no visitation.


Funeral: Private graveside services will be held at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, MO.
