Clifford D. Elliott, Jr., 83, of Mascoutah, IL, born Oct 5, 1927 in Rockland, MA, died Saturday, Jan. 29, 2011 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital, St. Louis, MO.
Mr. Elliott was a retired CMSgt. from the USAF where he served as an Education and Training Superintendent and also was a Red Cross volunteer at Scott Air Force Base.
He was a member of Holy Childhood Catholic Church, Mascoutah, K of C Council #4380, Mascoutah and a USAF Korean War veteran.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clifford D. and Zulina, nee Davis, Elliott, Sr., and three sisters, Shirley Angeley, Ruth Carl and Rita Betts.
He is survived by his wife, Rosalie M., nee Heimann, Elliott whom he married in Mascoutah, IL on June 18, 1949; two sons, Clifford D. (Karen) Elliott of Trophy Club, TX and Michael C. (Valerie) Elliott of Ontario, CA; a daughter, Kathryn (Scott) Ward of Columbia, MO; three grandchildren, Steven (Rita) Ward, Joey Elliott and Keithlyn Elliott; two great-grandchildren, James and Patrick Ward; a brother, Peter (Pauline) Elliott of Pembroke, MA; two sisters, Meredith Hickey of Hanover, MA and Robin (Richard) Pompeo of Quincy, MA and mother-in-law, Edna Heimann of Mascoutah, IL.
Memorials may be made to Holy Childhood Memorial Improvement Fund or American Cancer Society.
Visitation: Friends may call from 9 to 10 AM Friday, Feb. 4, 2011 at the Holy Childhood Catholic Church in Mascoutah, IL.
Funeral: a memorial mass will be held at 10 AM Friday, Feb. 4, 2011 at the Holy Childhood Catholic Church with Msgr. Jerome Hartlein officiating. Private burial will be in the Holy Childhood Catholic Cemetery, Mascoutah, IL.
