Henry J. "Hank" Pollmann

Henry J. “Hank” Pollmann, 77, of Mascoutah, IL, born Jan. 2, 1934 in Bartelso, IL, died Sunday, Apr. 3, 2011 at the MarKa Nursing Home in Mascoutah, IL.


Henry retired as the owner and operator of Pollmann’s Mobil Service Station in Belleville, IL and was a Korean Conflict U.S. Army veteran. He was a member of Holy Childhood Catholic Church, Mascoutah, IL; K of C Council 1028, Belleville, IL; Bishop Janssen Assembly 0199, Belleville, IL; Kiwanis Club, Belleville, IL; and V.F.W. Post 7983, Trenton, IL.


He was preceded in death by his wife, Marian L., nee Firnkes, Pollmann whom he married in Belleville, IL, Apr. 16, 1955 and who died Dec. 26, 2010, his parents, Henry and Ann, nee Thien, Pollmann, a brother, Laverne Pollmann, and 3 sisters, Marcella Rieken, Delores Goldsmith and Elvira Goldsmith.


He is survived by a daughter, Chadyeane (Robert) Olson of Decatur, IL; two grandchildren, Candace Olson of Decatur, IL, and Clinton Olson of Decatur, IL; a great granddaughter, Alexis Wisely of Decatur, IL.

Visitation: from 4 to 8 PM Tuesday, Apr. 5, 2011 at the Moll Funeral Home in Mascoutah, IL. A prayer service will be at held 5:30 PM and a V.F.W. service at 7:30 PM Tuesday evening.


Funeral: a funeral mass will be held 10 AM Wednesday, Apr. 6, 2011 at Holy Childhood Catholic Church in Mascoutah with Msgr. Jerome Hartlein officiating. Entombment will be in Green Mount Catholic Mausoleum in Belleville, IL.
