Marie E. Janden

Marie E. Janden, nee Liebig, 87, of Mascoutah, IL, born Apr. 27, 1924 in Mascoutah, IL, died Monday, June 6, 2011 at the MarKa Nursing Home in Mascoutah, IL.


Marie worked 47 years as a title examiner for Lawyer’s Title in Belleville before retiring in 1989. She was a member of St. Martin of Tours Lutheran Church in Mascoutah, IL.


She was preceded in death by her parents, Herman C. and Alvina M., nee Lang, Liebig; and her husband, Edwin R. Janden whom she married in St. Louis, MO on Nov. 21, 1942 and who died Feb. 12, 1964.


Surviving is her sister Betty M. Liebig of Mascoutah, IL along with numerous cousins.


Memorials may be made to the St. Martin of Tours Lutheran Church, 1190 N. Sixth St., Mascoutah, IL 62258.


Visitation: from 9 to 11 AM Saturday, June 11, 2011 at St. Martin of Tours Lutheran Church in Mascoutah, IL.


Funeral: funeral services will be held 11 AM Saturday, June 11, 2011 at St. Martin of Tours Lutheran Church with Pastor Wayland Middendorf officiating. Burial will be in Mascoutah City Cemetery in Mascoutah.
