Helen M. Penrod

Helen M. Penrod, nee Piggott, 90, of Mascoutah, IL, born April 29, 1921 in Reynoldsville, IL, died Thursday, Aug. 11, 2011 at MarKa Nursing Home, Mascoutah, IL.


Helen was a retired underpresser for Martha Manning Dress Company where she worked for 35 years and a member of First Baptist Church in Mascoutah since Jan. 1, 1956.


She was preceded in death by her first husband, Ralph Wehrenberg whom she married Oct. 23, 1943 in Mounds, IL and who died Aug. 26, 1973, her second husband, Clyde Penrod whom she married June 1, 1975 in Belleville, IL and who died Oct. 29, 1994 and her parents, William E. and Myrtle A., nee Frizzell, Piggott.


She is survived by a sister, Virginia Piggott of Elgin, IL.


Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church in Mascoutah.


Visitation: friends may call from 5 to 8 PM Sunday, Aug. 14, 2011 at the Moll Funeral Home in Mascoutah, IL, and from 10 to 11 AM Monday, Aug. 15, 2011 at First Baptist Church in Mascoutah.


Funeral: funeral services will be held at 11 AM Monday, Aug. 15, 2011 at First Baptist Church with the Pastor Duane Smith officiating. Burial will be in Alto Pass Cemetery, Alto Pass, IL.
