Mary M. Luechtefeld

Mary M. Luechtefeld, nee Lintker, 87, of St. Libory, IL, born Nov. 5, 1923 in St. Libory, IL died Thursday, Sept. 15, 2011.


Mary was a homemaker, member of St. Liborius Catholic Church in St. Libory, St. Liborius Council of Catholic Women; St. Libory Home Extension; and the St. Clair County Farm Bureau.


Mrs. Luechtefeld was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Luechtefeld whom she married in St. Libory on Nov. 20, 1946, and who died Oct. 24, 2007; her parents, John and Elizabeth, nee Buss, Lintker Jr.; a granddaughter, Bridget Luechtefeld; three brothers, Lawrence, Victor, and Raphael Lintker; three sisters-in-law, Sister Florence Luechtefeld OLVN, Gertrude Maes, and Dorothy Luechtefeld; three brothers-in-law, Joseph Maes, Gerard Schmidt, and James Pajares.


Surviving are her three sons and a daughter, Don (Connie) Luechtefeld of Destin, FL, John Luechtefeld of St. Libory, IL and friend Linda Lehr, Joseph (Cassie) Luechtefeld of St. Libory, IL, and Ann Marie (Tom) Hoffman of Columbia, IL; 10 grandchildren, Laura (Bill) Avery, Lisa (John) DePatie, Lynette (Jason) Moriak, Sean (fiancé Nicole) Luechtefeld, Emily (Dan) Rosenberg, Adam (Cadence) Luechtefeld, Matt (Luann) Luechtefeld, Michael, Amy and Ryan Hoffman; three step grandchildren, Kristi Otten, Chris (fiancé Lacy) Otten, and Lindsay (fiancé Neil) Otten; six great-grandchildren, Joe Avery, Hannah and Hunter DePatie, Tyler and Jackson Rosenberg, and Noah Luechtefeld; two brothers, Robert (LaVerne) Lintker of St. Libory, IL, Andrew (Rosemary) Lintker of St. Libory, IL; two sisters, Bernadette (Daniel) Jansen of Okawville, IL, Rita (Don) Otten of St. Libory, IL; four sisters-in-law, Irma Lintker of St. Libory, IL, Clare Schmidt of Belleville, IL, Rita Pajares of Smithton, IL, and Sister Leona Luechtefeld ASC of Belleville, IL; brother-in-law, Ralph (Georgia) Luechtefeld of Belleville, IL; and numerous nieces and nephews.


Memorials may be made to St. Liborius Cemetery Fund, Family Hospice, or for Masses.


Visitation: Friends may call from 4 to 9 PM Sunday, Sept. 18, 2011 and from 7 to 9:30 AM Monday, Sept. 19, 2011 at the Moll Funeral Home in St. Libory, IL. A prayer service will be held at 5 PM Sunday at the funeral home.


Funeral: A funeral Mass will be held 10 AM Monday, Sept. 19, 2011 at St. Liborius Catholic Church in St. Libory with Fr. Dennis Voss, Fr. Carl Scherrer and Deacon Andrew Lintker officiating. Burial will be in St. Liborius Catholic Cemetery, St. Libory, IL.
