Robert C. Gramm, 83, of Mascoutah, IL, born Sept. 15, 1928 in Engelmann Twp., IL, died Wednesday, May 30, 2012 at MarKa Nursing Home, Mascoutah, IL.


Robert was a retired molder from the Modern Foundry in Mascoutah. He was a member of St. John United Church of Christ, Mascoutah, IL, Moose Lodge Chapter 815, Mascoutah, V.F.W. Post 7682, Mascoutah, a U. S. Army Korean War veteran and a very active euchre player.


He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy, nee Schanz, Gramm, whom he married on March 22, 1953 at St. John U.C.C. in Mascoutah and who died March 22, 2012, a great-grandson, Robert Henry Miller, his parents, John and Elizabeth, nee Kuklinski, Gramm, a brother, Don Gramm, a sister, Kathleen Keller, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.


Surviving are his children, a daughter, Rita (Ron) Skimehorn of Mascoutah, IL; two sons, Roger (Susann) Gramm and Roy Gramm, both of Mascoutah, IL; six grandchildren, Janet (Mike) Miller, Jill Shearer, Jeff (Tammy) Gramm, and Rachael, Miranda and Aylissa Skimehorn; four great-grandchildren; two sisters, Gloria (Herbert) Sigman of Nashville and Gail Cook of Michigan; also survived by sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Visitation: Friends may call from 4 to 8 PM Thursday, May 31, 2012 at the Moll Funeral Home in Mascoutah, IL. There will be a Moose Ritual at 7 PM Thursday evening.


Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Friday, June 1, 2012 at Moll Funeral Home with the Rev. Hugh Fitz officiating. Burial will follow with military honors in Mascoutah City Cemetery.
