Robert G. Sandheinrich

Robert G. Sandheinrich, 83, of St. Libory, IL, born Apr. 6, 1928 in St. Libory, IL, died Saturday, Feb. 18, 2012 at his residence.


He was retired from World Color Press in Sparta, IL; a member of St. Liborius Catholic Church, St. Libory; and St. Libory American Legion Post 683. Robert’s favorite pastimes were playing cards with family and friends, hunting, shooting trap, and watching the St. Louis Cardinals baseball games.


He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Rose, nee Koeller, Sandheinrich; and three brothers, Albert, Leonard, and Andrew Sandheinrich.


He is survived and will be missed by his three daughters, Joan (Ed) Austin of Alexandria, VA, Barbara (Linda) Sandheinrich of Shoeline, IL, and Mary (Jeff) Steibel of Columbia, IL; six grandchildren, Nakia Austin, Nicole (Dean) Buch, Tommie Austin, Kyle Steibel, Ashley Steibel, and Courtney Steibel; four great-grandchildren, Rayven Hodges, Brendon Bornowski, Camaron Buch, and Landon Buch; a brother, Victor (Dorothy) Sandheinrich of Belleville, IL; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.


Memorials may be made in the form of Masses.


Visitation: Friends may call from 4 to 9 PM Monday, Feb. 20, 2012 at the Moll Funeral Home in St. Libory, IL. A prayer service will be held at 7 PM Monday at the funeral home.


Funeral: A funeral Mass will be held 10 AM Tuesday, Feb. 21, 2012 at St. Liborius Catholic Church in St. Libory with Rev. Dennis Voss officiating. Burial will be in St. Liborius Catholic Cemetery, St. Libory, IL.
