Roger L. Trentman, 67, of St. Libory, IL, born Dec. 18, 1944 in St. Libory, IL, suffered a heart attack at his home and later died on Thursday, May 10, 2012 at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in Belleville, IL.
Roger worked for his brother, Wayne, at Trentman’s Service in St. Libory from 1958 to 1988. During that time he and his wife, Mary, owned and operated Trentman’s Food Mart in Fayetteville from 1969 to 1985. In 1988 Roger purchased Trentman’s Service from his brother and changed the name to Rogers Service. He operated it until 2002 when his son, Casey, became a co-owner, and then it became Rogers Service and Towing LLC. He also was co-owner of DRW Car Wash in St. Libory until 1990. He owned and operated Roger’s Mini Storage in St. Libory from 1996 to 2010; and with his son as co-owner; they operated Trentman’s Storage in Freeburg. Roger attended Holy Ghost UCC in Darmstadt, and was a member of the St. Libory American Legion. He served in the US Air Force and the Air Force Reserves.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Vincent and Veronica, nee Luecking, Trentman; two sisters, Norma Jean Hamann, and Karen Sanders; and his father-in-law, Leonard Sinn.
Roger is survived by his wife, Mary E., nee Sinn, Trentman who he married in Darmstadt, IL on Aug. 19, 1967; three children, Monica (Pete) Palumbo of Swansea, IL, Rhonda (Brad) Schmitz of St. Libory, IL, and Casey (Michelle) Trentman of St. Libory, IL; nine grandchildren, Mackenzie and Tori Otten, Chaz and Cole Palumbo, Brady and Brogan Schmitz, Brooke, Jacey, and Raegen Trentman; four brothers, Wayne (Lucille) Trentman of St. Libory, IL, Dennis Trentman of Smithton, IL, Larry (Roxanne) Pruett of Nashville, IL, and Randy (Patricia) Pruett of North Carolina; two sisters, Elaine (Ron) Schaefer of Belleville, IL, and Elena (Bobby) Johnson of North Carolina; his mother-in-law, Lorene Sinn of Darmstadt, IL; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Larry (Debbie) Sinn of Belleville, IL, Loren (Laurie) Sinn of Freeburg, IL, Dennis (Nicole) Sinn of Marissa, IL, Lennie (Kim) Sinn of Darmstadt, IL, and Shirley (Charley) Geralds of Marissa, IL; numerous nieces and nephews and friends.
In lieu of all other gifts, memorials may be made to St. Libory Grade School Education Fund, or St. Libory Fire Department.

Visitation: Friends may call from 4 to 9 PM Monday, May 14, 2012 and 7 to 11 AM Tuesday, May 15, 2012 at St. Liborius Catholic Church, St. Libory, IL.
Funeral: Funeral services will be held 11 AM Tuesday, May 15, 2012 at St. Liborius Catholic Church in St. Libory with Rev. Donald Wagner officiating. Burial will be in St. Liborius Catholic Cemetery, St. Libory, IL.
