Brett F. Warner, 51, of Mascoutah, IL born Sept. 29, 1960 in Belleville, IL, died Wednesday, March 21, 2012 at Memorial Hospital, Belleville, IL.
Brett was a retired police officer from the Mascoutah Police Dept.; member of St. John United Church of Christ, Mascoutah; Sons of Union Veterans; and Sons of Confederate Veterans. He was an avid genealogist and a law enforcement Purple Heart recipient.
He was preceded in death by his father, David L. Warner; and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Norbert and Gladys Chapman.
Surviving are his wife, Patricia K., nee Chapman, Warner, who he married in Belleville, IL on Nov. 17, 1978; a son, Ryan (Kelly) Warner of Mascoutah, IL; his mother, Evelyn A., nee Renth, Warner of Waterloo, IL; two grandchildren, Kira Winterberg and Katherine Warner; a brother, Keith (Connie) Warner of Belleville, IL; a sister, Sandy (Mark) Bandy of Waterloo, IL; three nieces and a nephew, Brittnee (Jason) Greenwell, Brooke Warner, Alexandria and Nicholas Bandy; along with brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, other nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.

Visitation: Friends may call from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Sunday, March 25, 2012, at Moll Funeral Home, in Mascoutah, IL, and from 9 to 10 AM Monday, March 26, 2012 at St. John United Church of Christ in Mascoutah, IL.
Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, March 26, 2012, at St. John United Church of Christ in Mascoutah, IL, with the Rev. Hugh Fitz officiating. Burial will be in Mascoutah City Cemetery, Mascoutah, IL.
