Rachel M. Kerwin

Rachel M. Kerwin, 21, of Mascoutah, IL born April 10, 1991 in Belleville, IL died Wednesday, April 11, 2012 at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital, Belleville, IL.

Rachel was currently a student at SIU-Edwardsville and employed as a server at Eckert’s Restaurant in Belleville.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Billy J. Kerwin and maternal grandfather, George E. Flach.

Surviving are her parents, David E. and Marie A., nee Flach, Kerwin of Mascoutah, IL; two sisters, Amanda (Kevin) Buckman and Jennifer (Lee) Mutschler, both of Mascoutah, IL; nieces and nephews, Ashley and Dylan Buckman and Lucia, Luke and Lilliana Mutschler; paternal grandmother, Sandra Kerwin of Carlyle, IL; maternal grandmother, Elsie Flach of Granite City, IL; several aunts, uncles and two beloved cats, Kilo and Marley.

Visitation: Friends may call from 4 to 9 PM Friday, April 13, 2012 at the Moll Funeral Home in Mascoutah, IL, and from 7:30 to 9:30 AM Saturday, April 14, 2012 at Moll Funeral Home. There will be a prayer service at 4 PM Friday.

Funeral: A funeral mass will be held 10 AM Saturday, April 14, 2012 at Holy Childhood Catholic Church with the Msgr. Jerome Hartlein officiating. Burial will follow in Holy Childhood Catholic Cemetery.
