Raymond Paul Roethlisberger, 76, of Lively Grove, IL, born May 10, 1934 in Marissa, IL, died Monday, May 24, 2010 at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital, Belleville, IL.
Raymond was a truck driver for 23 years; a member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, Lively Grove, IL; International Order of Teamsters; and a US Army Korean War veteran.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Frederick and Helena, nee Salle, Roethlisberger, and two brothers, Fred and Rudy Roethlisberger.
He is survived by his wife, Agnes E., nee Stein, Roethlisberger whom he married in Lively Grove, IL on Apr. 29, 1957; three children, Judy Roethlisberger of Eden, IL, Ruth (Michael) Lumpkins of Bloomington, TX, and Donald (Kelly) Roethlisberger of Columbia, IL; two grandchildren, Dylan and Emily Roethlisberger; a sister, Dorothy Alongi of DuQuion, IL; brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and many friends.
Memorials may be made to St. Anthony’s Cemetery Fund, Lively Grove, IL or Machke Senior Center in Marissa, IL.
Visitation: Friends may call from 4 to 8 PM Wednesday, May 26, 2010 at the Moll Funeral Home in St. Libory, IL, and from 9 to 10 AM Thursday, May 27, 2010 at the church. A prayer service will be held at 5:30 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.
Funeral: A funeral mass will be held 10 AM Thursday, May 27, 2010 at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Lively Grove, IL with Rev. Dennis Voss officiating. In accordance with Raymond’s wishes he will be cremated and burial will take place at a later date. |
