Ruby Helen Latham, nee Trout, 85, of Blue Springs, MO., born March 17, 1922, in Mascoutah, Illinois, died in her sleep Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2008, at her home.
Ruby was the owner of The Topiary Tree Hallmark Card & Gift Shop in Blue Springs for many years, but nothing gave her more joy than being a mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Bob and Emelie, nee Meier, Trout, her husband, Ralph Latham, whom she married in 1942 and who died in 1988, and a grandson, Nathan Kraviec.
She is survived by her son, Steve (Linda) Latham, a daughter, Karen (Steve) Capron; six grandchildren, Suzi (Allen) Waltke, Scott Latham, Charlotte (Marcus) Everts, Michelle (Dennis) Kaskovich, Kelley Capron, and Kristin (Brett) McConnell ; great-grandchildren, Mason, Ryker, Duncan, Mila, Aidan, Eva, Jordan, Zachary, Benjamin, Bethany, and Drew..
Visitation will be held Wednesday evening, January 9, from 6 to 8:30 p.m. at Meyers Funeral Chapel in Blue Springs, MO. Visitation on Thursday, January 10 will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. at Moll Funeral Home in Mascoutah, IL
Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 11 at 10:00 AM at Moll Funeral Home in Mascoutah, IL with the Rev. Kirk Clayton officiating. Burial will be in Mascoutah City Cemetery.
