Rita worked most of her life in administration for various hospitals.  She was a member of St. James Catholic Church in Millstadt, the Altar Sodality, and the Daughters of Isabelle.

   She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence “Lefty” and Anne O., nee Koch, Sutton; her husband William Ray Fewell whom she married in Belleville, IL on Feb. 7, 1948, and who died Dec. 24, 1996; a son, Robert Fewell; and a great- granddaughter, Kristen Fewell.

   She is survived by four children, Katherine (John) Jenkins of Luebbering, MO, James Fewell of Nashville, IL; Ann M. (Roger) Gay of Spring, TX; and Tom Fewell of St. Louis, MO; four grandchildren, Ginger Fewell, Cynthia Lichtenfels, Kellie Gay and Ryan Gay; two great-grandchildren, K. C. Lichtenfels, and Leanne Lichtenfels.

   Visitation:  friends may call from 4 to 8 PM Monday, Mar. 9, 2009 at the Moll Funeral Home in Mascoutah, IL.  A prayer service will be held at 4 PM Monday at the funeral home.

   Funeral:  a funeral mass will be held 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, Mar. 10, 2009 at St. James Catholic Church in Millstadt, IL with Father Marvin Volk officiating.  Burial will be in Walnut Hill Cemetery, Belleville, IL.
